There is a reason the Government is pushing study of Sanskrit in technical universities.

.
In Nov. 2015, the Government set up a committee for promoting Sanskrit. It was headed by Shri N Gopalaswami, ex CEC and included people like Shri Ramadorai (ex TCS Chairman).
.
/// The Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has constituted a 13 member expert committee exclusively on Sanskrit in its attempt to revive interest in the ancient Indian classical language Sanskrit.
.
The expert committee would be headed by former chief election commissioner (CEC) N Gopalaswami. He is currently, Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (RSV) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Other members of the Committee: Bibek Debroy (NITI Aayog member), Chairman of National Skill Development Corporation Dr Ramadorai, V V Bhat, Delhi University professor Ramesh Bharadwaj, Chamu Krishna Shastri, UGC Chairman Ved Prakash.

Here is what Shri Gopalaswami is rooting for:
.
/// Mr. Gopalaswami laid emphasis on pursuing research on the unknown but not necessarily on something new. “While the world advocates organic farming by realising the long-term damage caused by chemical fertilisers, let us revisit the Ayurveda, Vriksh Ayurveda, Upavana Vinoda and other knowledge texts,” he said, indicating that ancient texts offered solutions to modern-day problems. He equated the precious manuscripts to a “handful of dust” if the knowledge therein was not unearthed and utilised.
.
Guest of honour and noted manuscriptologist M.A. Lakshmithathachar saw the need for Sanskrit scholars joining hands with technologists for achieving synergy. He referred to his recent findings ‘Trinetraloha’, a unique alloy lighter than water, a paint that does not fade even after hundred years and a unique brick-making technology referred to in ‘Vishnu Dharmottara Purana’, which has been validated by scientists.

.
So, very logical, that if one wants to benefit from the scientic knowledge captured in texts, and we refer to Chemistry or Metallurgy texts, written in Sanskrit, it needs someone who knows both Chemistry AND Sanskrit.

The free loading Leftists will generally never understand this. Their method of attack is bringing in Mahabharat or Ramayan into this and make fun of 100 children of Gandhari etc.
.
But the Government and the Sanskrit panel – most of whose members probably possess higher IQ than the total IQ of Leftist goons of JNU – shall never understand examples like that of Shri Manjul Bhargava that we quote below.
.
/// Manjul Bhargava, a maths professor who just won the Fields Medal, once simplified a 200-year-old number theory law with help of an Indian mathematician’s work from 6th century CE and the popular Rubik’s Cube.
.
According to an interview the Princeton University professor gave to Quanta Magazine, he said German maths wizard Carl Friedrich Gauss showed that if two numbers – each sum of two perfect squares – are multiplied, the result will also be the sum of two perfect squares.
.
Bhargava, whose grandfather was a Sanskrit professor in Rajasthan, said he had once seen in Sanskrit manuscripts a generalisation of this same law, credited to Brahmagupta – an Indian mathematician in 628 CE. ///
